This Fairy Tale House is created for an 8 year old girl, who lives in her Fantasy world...

A Girl who loves the color Green & Yellow,

A Girl who loves Fairies,

A Girl who loves Birds & Butterflies,

A Girl who loves Nature,

A Girl who loves to be always in her Dream World...

This piece de resistance will do wonders in her bedroom. And this can either be placed on the tabletop or can be hung on the wall.

Fairy tales are more than true not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.

Every once in a while, in the middle of an ordinary life, Love gives us a Fairy Tale.

Behind every Fairy Tale, there is always a meaning.

No one is too old for fairy tales.

Also, Life is a Fairy Tale. But to see it, you must keep your eyes open...

Though this fairy tale house is made for someone, but this concept of fairies inspires me as well.

Greetings My Dear Friends!!

My third blog post on Mail Box customized on Anniversary & Valentine's theme..

Mail Box - is a box into which mail is delivered, especially it is mounted on a post at the entrance to a person's property.

It was believed that... Handwritten letters was all to fall in love with... No poetry, No chivalry or No cajolery was required..

Today, in the era of mobile, computers, internet etc. we can see no such mail boxes around (though few still prefer mail boxes) ;) :P

And fortunately I got a chance to customize something for a couple who are in love for 23 years. And their anniversary falls on Valentine's Day.. I hope looking at this mail box it freshens up their "old is gold" memories... <3

This Mail Box carries a 6" teddy bear with a heart saying I love you, Love scratch cards (naughty messages), hugging slider card, 2 Dairy milk cadbury and 5 small envelopes with love quotes.

Mail Box is embedded with a pentagon shapes shaker element from Expressions Craft, I have customized it as a love birds nest.

Here I am writing my second blog post on an interesting topic... LOVE ;)

Before beginning with the topic let me inform that I have colored the tower with IMMIX metallic paints - Gun metal grey and Ancient Gold from Expressions Craft. 

Paris is said to be as the most romantic city in the world and so is the masterpiece known as the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

The Symbol of Love is UNIVERSAL,

The Symbol of Love is PURE,

The Symbol of Love is UNITY,

The Symbol of Love will ENDURE,

The Symbol of Love is CONSTANT,

The Symbol of Love is BRIGHT,

The Symbol of Love is RIGHT,

The Symbol of Love is PERFECT,

The Symbol of Love shines through the RAIN,

The Symbol of Love can't PART,

The Symbol of Love is YOU & ME,

The Symbol of Love is a HEART,

The Symbol of Love is the EIFFEL TOWER.

LOVE is the symbol of eternity. It wipes out all sense of time, destroying all memory of beginning and all fear of end.

LOVE is not finding someone to LIVE WITH, its finding someone you can't LIVE WITHOUT...

Express your love not only with gifts but also by showing affection, care and love.

Love has many faces..... it is an intense feeling of deep affection...

LOVE can be with PARENTS,

LOVE can be with SIBLINGS,

LOVE can be with FRIENDS,

LOVE can be with BF/ GF,

LOVE can be with HUSBAND/ WIFE.

Express your love everyday. Say I LOVE YOU not  only to your bf/gf/hubby/wife.. But also to your friends & family... Then see the MAGIC!!! Everyday will be a VALENTINE'S DAY and every minute will be VALENTINE'S MINUTE.

Here, I have made a customized EIFFEL TOWER box wherein you can paste almost 15 pictures (even more). There is a small glass message box, I Love You card and two dairy milk cadbury in the drawer. This masterpiece can be kept also as a show piece.

Mixed Media Altered Diary

Greetings My Dear Friends!

My First Blog Post on mixed media art on diary cover. 

Ordered a 2019 diary from Flipkart, which had a lovely motivational quote over it saying "If you believe in yourself anything is Possible". This quote touched my heart and without wasting anytime I just ordered it.

After receiving this diary, I thought of creating and embedding this lovely quote over it in different aspect or manner. And then strikes an idea of creating an ancient look over the diary cover. 

Following products are used to create this beautiful Tome of Ancients:

A].  Expressions Craft: Immix Heavy Black Gesso, White chippes like Buddha, lantern with bird, Cogs wheel frame and metallic paints like mermaid song, ancient gold, gunmetal grey and bronze moon .

B]. Icraft: flower and stem stencil

C]. Itsy Bitsy Little Birdie: Cheese Cloth, Heat tool

D]. Oasis Bazaar: MDF steampunk chippies, crafting mat, glue gun 

E]. Craft Destination Centre: Metal embellistments, metal corners 

G]. Ranger: Texture Paste

F]. Finally a 2019 diary purchased from Flipkart

Lets Start with the pictorial procedure on How I made this Beautiful ancient tome.

Step 1: 

Step 2: Arrange chippies, metal embellisments, etc. everything loosely on the diary cover and it is suggested to take a picture of it for further reference.

Step 3: Keep aside all chippies and other embellisments and now apply Black heavy gesso (Immix) with brush on the diary cover base. And dry it with heat tool or hair dryer.

Step 4: Apply black heavy gesso on all chippies and embellistments. Mostly some crafters prefer applying gesso after pasting chippies or embellistments on the base, but I prefer applying gesso over chippies etc separately. And dry it with heat tool or hair dryer.

Step 5: Now with the help of stencil and texture paste make a random design over diary cover. After applying texture paste dry it with heat tool.

Step 6: Paste cheese cloth randomly. And after pasting cheese cloth apply one more layer of black gesso. And dry it with heat tool

 

Step 7: Paste all the chippies and embellistments over the diary referring to the image clicked before pasting. Also add few half pearls randomly. After pasting everything apply one more final coat of gesso. And then start coloring with mettalic paints (Immix)

Step 8: After applying metallic paints dry the same with heat tool and paste golden corner over two edges of diary. I started with mermaid blue and then bronze (all over chippies and embellishments. Then gun metal grey on the sides and a bit in background. And also pasted the motivational quote by giving it an embossed look with the help of glossy accent.

Step 9: Lastly applied ancient gold over the top with finger tips. And here is the final look of Tome of the Ancients.

Total 9 steps to be followed and create this amazing art of mixed media.

I hope I have done justice by giving detailed step by step instruction.
